Corn Tortilla Recipe
2 c. masa harina
1 1/3 c. hot water
1 tsp. salt
This is so easy, you’re going to be astonished. Just mix up the three ingredients and knead them until a dough ball forms. If the dough seems to be on the crumbly side, then add a bit more water.
Separate the dough into 8 pieces and press them into tortillas with your tortilla press. Be sure to remember to put parchment paper (or plastic grocery bags) on both side of the tortillas so that it doesn’t stick.
Heat a griddle or cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Do not add any oil. Toss a tortilla on and cook until it’s just slightly browned, the flip and repeat on the other side. The tortillas will soften as the cool, so just set them aside on a plate and cover them up with a clean kitchen towel.
